About the event
Dates:
Saturday July 12th: Mixed in the morning (starting at 8am) Mens starting around 11am.
Registration Cost:
$75 per player. One player must register and pay for the team.
Max team DUPR score of 11.39. No individual max. Minimum team DUPR of 8.5. We do not count the 3rd decimal of the DUPR score. So, for example, a 5.259 is considered a 5.25.
This will not be a DUPR recorded event.
Location:
Lifetime Fitness in Lenexa and Overland Park, approx a 15 min drive apart.
Both locations are air conditioned. Lifetime is offering all competitors 100% access to both their facilities all day long. So take advantage of their recovery services including the sauna, pool and new cold plunge if you want to. They will also be giving all competitors reserved lockers during the tournament. In addition to this they are offering free court time (based on availability) @ either location during the week leading up to the event. Contact Skyler Hull at Overland Park to reserve this early.
16 team max per division. $1000 prize money per division. If the division does not fill, we will modify prize money appropriately. Pool play will take place at both locations. 8 teams per location. Guaranteed 7 games of pool play. Win by 2 but capped at 13 (so at 12-12, next point wins)
Top 5 teams from each pool will advance to single elimination bracket play. Bracket play will take place at the Overland Park location only.
PlayIN round of bracket will be one game to 15 (win by 2, capped at 18) this is for the 4th and 5th seed of each pool only to even out the brackets. Winner of this round will face the top seed from each pool.
Quarter finals and Semifinals will be best of 3 to 11.
Finals will take place on Saturday the 12th at approx 3pm. More details to follow
Lifetime will be hosting a VIP after party at their pool after the final match.
All competitors will receive a pass to this.
Ball: Lifetime ball.
The tournament director reserves the right to change the format based on registration numbers, cancellations etc.
To raise the prize money for this event we are actively seeking corporate sponsors. If you make it into the finals you may be required to wear a sponsors branded t-shirt.
For those not familiar with our events we do play music throughout the qualifier and Final Exhibition Event.
Refunds:
100% refund minus the processing fees up to July 5th. After that no refunds will be issued.
